The team at Brain Chase has always enjoyed David Lettermen’s television show, particularly his top ten lists. We were saddened to hear that he will be leaving the Late Show after 21 years of entertaining television. In honor of his retirement, we put together the top 10 reasons why you should sign your kids up for this summer’s Brain Chase adventure:

10.  Researchers have empirical evidence that kids lose an average of 2 months of math and reading skills during the summer break. We can all do better than that.

9.  The Brain Chase learning challenges will provide you with at least an hour’s rest each day from the incessant chorus of “I’m bored.”

8.  Brain Chase is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, meaning that it can be done as a supplementary activity to family vacations, summer camps, Boy Scout/Girl Scout activities, camping trips, and other activities.

7.  Your kids will fall in love with Mae Merriweather and her friends from the Grayson Academy of Antiquities in the animated webisodes they’ll unlock each week.

6. Decoder rings! Compasses! Mystery projects! All shipped to your door separately over the six week period.

5.  Under the new common core curriculum, teachers do not have sufficient time to review last year’s material at the beginning of the new school year like they did in the past.

4.  Because at $8.35 per ticket, the movies are too expensive to go to everyday and they do not have the same educational value as Brain Chase.

3.  It is just as engaging as a video game, but provides educational exercises in reading, writing, and math that are customized to your student’s level.

2.  You’ll be doing some good in the world! Brain Chase is currently exploring partnerships with multiple charitable organizations to provide free enrollments for disadvantaged students who need it the most.

1.  Whoever is able to solve the riddle will win a trip for two to an exotic location to dig up and claim a real buried treasure – a globe worth $10,000.

At Brain Chase, we are not taking anything from your kid’s summer, just adding to it. We are adding a fun and challenging adventure that can be shared with the whole family. If you would like to know more about Brain Chase, please visit our website today.
